Dior will livestream its Spring/Summer 2021 collection on TikTok
Brands have had to re-evaluate usual Fashion Month protocol due to the ongoing pandemic with most opting for virtual shows broadcasted online.
Last Month, Burberry selected Twitch as its platform of choice to livestream its collection from the British countryside while Moschino showed its collection via marionettes.
Saint Laurent, JW Anderson and Louis Vuitton have also shown their collections on TikTok.
Given that TikTok is estimated to be worth a whopping 75 billion dollars thanks to its 800 million active users – most of which are the business-savvy Gen Z – we can see why brands are flocking to TikTok for shows, collaborations and announcements and we expect more to be following suit soon enough.
