here’s my story in exclusive interview

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer some questions about your life.

No problem at all! And my pleasure!

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career as a designer?

Answer:  I always knew growing up that I would be in the fashion industry when I grew up

I didnt know if I would be a photographer, a Hair and make up artist, a model, or a fashion designer

I knew I would be out there doing something in that field/industry.

When did you land your first internship and what was the most valuable thing you learned from this experience?

In regards to fashion and going into internship, and going to fashion school as a Fashion Designer…. all of that I did not do! Im not gonna say dont go to school! Or you dont need to go to school to be a fashion designer

If you want to go to a fashion design school… I would encourage you to say do it! If this is the best way you feel would work for you! We as humans are all different, we all have our own strengths and weaknesses

Knowing what works for you and what doesn’t work for you is what would make you successful

For me personally, this was the way I went about it, and I was just very fortunate to get a warm welcome into this Industry

I also believe that choosing the right people to work with and creating a team with balance is the key to success

We all put our strengths and ideas together and it is a recipe for success.

I was blessed to get to meet and know people in the industry.  It all just kind of happened so I feel really blessed

Growing up I was always into fashion, dressing up my Barbie Dolls and creating little outfit for them according to what I want

On the other hand, I may not have gone to Fashion Design School
On the other hand, I may not have gone to Fashion Design School

I always drew and recently … believe it or not discovered I can paint.

On the other hand, I may not have gone to Fashion Design School. However, I did go to college and currently right now. I am in the Medical Field as a Front liner

I also went to Business school and got my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Masters Degree in Organizational Management. So again, I am not for or against college

I just believe and feel we are all unique and we all have our own Destiny. I do believe in Faith

My very first job naturally related to my Business Degree was a Bank Employee

How did I land the position?

I did just what everybody else did to get the job

I put in an application and submitted my resume

But I always made sure to stand out against my competitors

In this case, I made sure to come prepared, by doing research about the company, their culture and expectations and about the job position.

When did you establish your brand?

I started out in 2004 very small and was more like a hobby for me at the time.

What skills do you think are needed to become a successful fashion designer?

For me I believe you have to have to love what you do! And believe in what you do! Because if you dont believe in yourself, how do you make others believe in you? I always had a passion for Fashion

Of course you have to still know how to draw, illustrate, be creative and always have an open mind.

Have you taught yourself or studied fashion?

Self taught

people love what I put out there
people love what I put out there

Have your pieces become more attractive to people as a result?

Yes, people love what I put out there… whether it be my casual sportswear or my gown creations I have illustrated and designed.

How to stay up-to-date with trends in the fashion industry?

Again I believe in being unique! I dont feel or believe that there are rules for Fashion or how we should dress up. I think this is why Fashion is even a thing

People look for creativity, colors, designs, ideas, boldness or simplicity.

What work ethic do you have in working with fashion?

My whole team I am very sure and very confident would tell you that I have a big heart! I am not being self centered when I say this…

but in my team, I always remind everyone that we are strong, we are special, we are unique, and we can do and reach our goals and succeed if we believe in ourselves and manifest these things.

I feel very blessed and feel the warm welcome in the Industry worldwide
I feel very blessed and feel the warm welcome in the Industry worldwide

How is your work being received internationally?

I feel very blessed and feel the warm welcome in the Industry worldwide! I feel so elated meeting such kind wonderful, humble beautiful people in the industry from different parts of the world.

What did you wear to your first interview?

Everyone was telling me to wear a black and white or neutral or nude color suits to my interview. However, I guess I am abrebel and daring when it comes to fashion and fashion rules

I will admit I am very colorful! Even my personality is very colorful! I always try to be good to people and only see the beauty and colors in each one of them

To go back to what I wore to my first interview? I wore a sky blue or light baby blue matching suit with white and yellow daisies in them

Guess what?

This girl got the job!

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before beginning your career what would it be?

Nothing really…. I wouldnt change anything that has happened to me

I may have hit some bumps along the way, but that is how I learned and how I have learned to grow.

What was the biggest rookie mistake you made when just starting out?

Didnt take it seriously in the beginning and trusting the wrong people. It is not all flowers and butterflies! Believe me there is also an ugly side.

I always look for someone genuine, humble and friendly. I dont like Diva attitudes
I always look for someone genuine, humble and friendly. I dont like Diva attitudes

What is one thing you look for when interviewing a potential candidate for your company?

I always look for someone genuine, humble and friendly. I dont like Diva attitudes.

How is working in fashion different today than from when you started out?

Its the same… except people change, looks change..

What role do you think social media plays in fashion today?

It plays a big role, its a new easy tool available out there to present yourself to the whole world! The opportunity are endless.

What was your biggest fear when going out and starting your own line?

I didnt have fear! See that is why I think I am different. I go out there already believing and claiming and manifesting all and everything I want! I already told myself I am gonna do this and I am going to be the best! I think that is the type of attitude you have to have to get to where you want to go. But also make sure I always keep myself grounded and humble

I treat everyone I meet with the same respect! Young or old, if we want to be respected then we must learn how to respect other people.

What is your favorite part about being a designer?

The freedom of doing what I love to do and being able to express myself with no rules to follow.

How do you want women to feel when wearing your clothes?

Comfortable and yet confident and feel beautiful!

There’s so much pressure for designers to come out with their greatest collection season after season

Just believe in yourself and be yourself.
Just believe in yourself and be yourself.

What advice would you give to young designers just starting out and hoping to make it in the industry?

Just believe in yourself and be yourself.

How and in what ways has the fashion experience changed in the past year?

These days we are more exposed in the Internet world, as opposed to before more on TV, and magazine exposures

People are also able to easily reach out to the same people in the same industry from different parts of the world.

What do you make of the virtual fashion shows happening around the world Can they save the fashion industry from losing business in light of a global crisis?

Again this is something new, but I think currently and temporarily.  I don’t believe this is going to be like this forever

It is unfortunate that the pandemic has affected everything including the Fashion Industry

I do believe it will help save it because people will continue to see the design and the new releases

We are all online already anyway

But I am still one of those people that believe that once we have passed all these trials and tribulations

We should go back to doing everything out in the real world! Without the fear, without the need of wearing a mask again. We as a human species need that personal time, face to face interactions and touch

This is how it should work and I do believe the online fashion show will be a temporary thing, or even maybe an  additional thing that we acquire moving forward

But only as an addition to actual real live fashion show. As a matter of fact. I have a fashion planned line up for 2022

Again, granted the covid is all under control already.

It is very important to be able to keep up. You always have to make sure you stand out and get noticed. Be different! Be unique!
It is very important to be able to keep up. You always have to make sure you stand out and get noticed. Be different! Be unique!

Where do you seek inspiration from when it comes to designing?

Nature, people, experiences

How important is innovation in fashion?

It is very important to be able to keep up. You always have to make sure you stand out and get noticed. Be different! Be unique! Be you!

Is American industry. ready to embrace healthier, plus-size models for magazine covers and ramps or are we far from it?

In the American Industry, plus size is not new. We have a lot of clothing names that make plus size wear

There are also already alot of plus size models in America.

In your opinion, what makes American designers . so different? And do you believe they are getting the international visibility they deserve?

I can’t speak for everybody, because like I said we are all different and unique

That is what makes us special! For personally for myself… I am different because I am very colorful and I believe nothing is impossible.

Maybe more diversity in the fashion designer world
Maybe more diversity in the fashion designer world

What is American fashion industry lacking?

Maybe more diversity in the fashion designer world. Although now I am starting to see alot of asian, Indian, etc. Different kinds of nationalities coming out with big names and.making noise in the Fashion Industry.

How important is self-introspection in a field like yours?

Very Important! For me I always believe in self reflections and I do meditate regularly to help cleanse my self and my mind

For inner peace and balance. Namaste!

And how would you describe the Acrisio Neto woman?

The designs are beautiful! Represents beautiful creativity and color in women,  and still remain very feminine.

How has COVID-19 changed your view on life?

I think we as a whole world, not just myself know how precious and fragile life can be. We must cherish every moment we have.

What has challenged you the most in life besides the pandemic?

Time…. I always feel I dont have enough time! There is so much more I want to do or could do…. but can’t because I dont have the time…

What or who has shaped you?

What shapped me is my life experiences, and who shapped me are my parents.

How is your creative process like?

I like to imagine things in my head first. I envision what and how to create my design

Then I start to illustrate and bring it to life. That’s the fun part! Seeing your creations come to life.

Having A Class Models as part of my team, and seeing them wear and love my creations
Having A Class Models as part of my team, and seeing them wear and love my creations

What would you say is your proudest career moment so far?

Having A Class Models as part of my team, and seeing them wear and love my creations.

How do you stay motivated and continue to strengthen your creative mind?

Yoga, meditation, self reflection, nature time, family time, me time!

what’s your motto?

Always stay true to yourself! I also believe in the saying by Benjamin Franklin

“𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎 𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚗𝚕𝚢 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎. 𝙾𝚗𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚋𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚍𝚊𝚙𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚜𝚎 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚍𝚎𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚌𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎”

I believe in anything in life, you must know how to adapt to changes to be able to survive And surrounding yourself with light

whatever energy you surround yourself with is what you will receive

I do believe in that.

Finally, what are your upcoming projects?

Fashion Show 2022 and a few other things … too much to mention, and of course my recent purchase of Aura International Philippines Franchise

So that is another huge project and im looking forward to it.
