Hermès’ Enchaînements Libres Arrives In Dubai

The high-jewellery collection will be on display from October 28 to November 7 at the French luxury maison’s store in Dubai Mall

The brainchild of Hermes’ creative director Pierre Hardy, the collection is a homage to the transformation of raw metal to a piece of magnificent adornment, all while he pushes the boundaries of traditional jewellery.

Using innovation as a catalyst, Pierre traverses through the realm of fine jewellery as he disrupts the norm to create exquisite pieces like no other.

Placing them into unusual compositions and toggling with their scales, he pays attention to every detail and glorifying the unique aspects of the gems and precious metals by weaving them together – a new take on the art of Herm��s’ chain-making

Pierre designs free chains as one might write a free verse –a meticulous routine in harmony with its surroundings – offering 29 variants as many dance steps, he uses convention and innovation to guide his craft.

At the core of his collection is the act of movement, seizing and suspending it. Similar to the flair of a sculptor or a dancer, it is also that of the fine jeweller.

A tribute to the body in motion, Pierre’s oxymoron of using chains to celebrate freedom is an accurate representation of his distinctive craftsmanship.

As the collection is built upon a paradox, it provides it momentum. Mighty yet delicate, the chain is a characterization of women: free, independent and bold.
