Blanca Rigau, a graduate in Biotechnology (UAB) with a Master’s degree in Pharmacology (UAB) and Neuropsychology (UOC), won the Miss Gerona+30 beauty pageant on February 18, 2024.
Blanca is a quality technician for a pharmaceutical company, but Her two great passions are basketball and fashion: she is a basketball coach for an incredible group of 11-12 year old girls in Gerona and Fashion Brand Manager of the fashion brand Xander Pratt Collection, a luxury fashion brand by the artist Xander Pratt that has allowed him to delve into his most creative part within the world of fashion.
In her speech she expressed the importance of believing in oneself and highlighted that the main reason for her participation was to be able to inspire little girls and boys who are suffering from bullying due to their physical appearance since she experienced this situation as a child and it created many insecurities.
Ella Blanca wanted to convey to all these girls not to be carried away by negative comments, since throughout life the physique always changes, however what does not change is the interior.
And she ended her speech with a message for all those girls to focus on having good values and focus their energy on cultivating their dreams because in the end they will reap their fruits.
Despite everything, the criticism, the bullying, it is important to straighten the crown and move forward as queens.
Blanca is creating the Girona delegation of the Spanish Association for the Prevention of Bullying and she has managed to assemble a team of professionals to be able to detect cases and help more directly the children who are suffering from this situation.
At the beginning of April 2024, the Association will become effective and will be able to operate in all schools in the province of Girona.
Blanca, apart from representing the Xander Pratt Collection brand, was manager of the theater titled “The African Dream” directed by Xander Pratt and performed for the summit of the African Union Congress of the United States, held in Morocco in July 2022.
In addition, Blanca led the creation of the brand’s website at the beginning of 2023 and introduced the spring/summer collection at the Costa Brava Fashion Week in July 2023.
