Angela Mrad (Arabic: أنجيلا مراد; born June 14, 1991) is a Lebanese-Greek award-winning filmmaker, writer, director, producer, actress and media personality. She is known for her contributions to women’s empowerment in cinema and her acclaimed short films Feminization, Cross Roads, The White Scarf, and Abreaction. She is also the director of the biographical documentary May Chahwan Mrad: The Queen & The Kingdom.
Mrad is the recipient of multiple international awards and honors, including the title of “Best Women Filmmaker in the World,” and has served as a jury member at several international film festivals. She holds two honorary doctorates: one in Film Writing and Directing and one in Press and Media.

Angela Mrad was born in Ashrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon. She studied at the Université Saint-Joseph (USJ) in Beirut and later became known for her commitment to women’s rights and creative storytelling through film. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English.
