Interview By :@halilasihamofficiel
For our international readers, could you tell us short about your
background and base in the royal city of Madrid?
I have been the Editor-in-Chief of Pasarela de Asfalto Magazine during
almost 10 years, an editorial work, focused on fashion, luxury and lifestyle, d istributed in Spain and Belgium At the same time, I am the owner
of the lawyer firm, “Pavón Chisbert Abogados”; both businesses placed in
Madrid.
Madrid is my hometown, I have lived here since I was born. For me
Madrid is a is a synonym for art, culture and history; but above all things,
Madrid represents the freedom of being able to do anything what you
want in any moment, doesn’t matter if you are bored at your place on
Sunday night, if you want, you can find a plan, for sure! Madrid is the
city that never sleeps! Of course, now, the situation is quite different due
to the COVID, but anyways, Madrid continues representing the same
values for me!

How do you balance between obligations acting in double media
prism: on the one hand you are editor-in-chief of highly renowned
publication Pasarela de Asfalto, on the other hand, you hold the
CEO position of the prestigious Lawyer firm “Pavón Chisbert
Abogados”?
My magazine, “Pasarela de Asfalto”, is not only my dream come truth, but
the dream of my family.
In the past, my father was the director of the
most important law magazine “Estrados”, considered of legal interest by
the Constitutional Court of Spain.
That’s why he has been next to me during this last decade, for the love to the publishing industry. My lawyer firm “Pavón Chisbert Abogados” is part of my essence, it was created basically with the aim of helping people from a legal prism.
So, I could say that it is really difficult to combine both works, however thanks to the help of my team, my family and friends, I can do it. We always find the moment for doing everything what we have to do! This interview is
the clear example of this! Página 2 de 6 You were the youngest editor-in-chief in Europe, for many years,
what lessons did you take from this experience? And when was
Pasarela de Asfalto founded and with what primary aim?
What a beautiful question! March 13, 2012 was the moment in which the
first number of “Pasarela de Asfalto” was published and distributed
around all Spain. Since that moment I was consider as the youngest
editor-in-chief in Europe by the German press, I was just 21 years old.
An extraordinary honour! The aim of my magazine has always been the
same: transmitting culture.
During all of these years I have learnt many lessons, but, the most important, without any kind of doubt, has been not to stop working until you get what you want.

How do you promote art and other areas related to artistic and
cultural projects? Recently you were involved in the exhibition that was curated in the facilities of the most important art gallery in
Madrid, the Kreisler Gallery, tell us about this event?
Art has always been connected to my life, I paint since I was a baby!
Nowadays I don’t have a lot of time for my favourite hobby, but still I keep
the taste and love for art. I have a small collection of oils from the XIX
century, and some lithographs from ZERO movement.
Art is in everywhere in my life and my magazine is the way I promote it.
What happened in the facilities of the Kreisler Gallery was an example of
passion for art: The Ambassador of Georgia to the Kingdom of Spain,
asked me for help to organize an event in Madrid, merging art and
fashion, during the Madrid Fashion Week, so I made it, thanks to the
help of the Kreisler Gallery.
We created something beautiful, the master pieces of the Georgian designer Datuna Sulikashvili, fixed perfectly with the amazing artworks of the kinetic artist Juan Gerstl. Many important people went to the event included ambassadors from different countries!
Everything went so well, and I was so happy with the final result!
Why do you think that art is so central in Madrid and what makes
the city attractive to the international art scene?
Madrid is an iconic place for finding culture because of its History.
Important museums of art are placed in the capital of Spain, such as
Prado’s Museum, Reina Sofía Museum or the Thyssen-Bornemisza
Museum.
The Royal Theatre, located in front of the Royal Palace, is also
a place where you can discover the culture by means of the music and
the performance.
Many other theatres are found around Gran Via Street,(I strongly recommend the show “El jefe” starred by Eduardo Aldán and
the great Israel Criado).
Gastronomy is part of the culture of Spain, and Página 3 de 6 one of its strong points, you can not leave Spain without having eaten a tasty “tapas” with red wine in Plaza Mayor! Resting meanwhile you immerse yourself in the History of Madrid could be also an option, being hosted, for example, in an iconic hotel like “Círculo Gran Vía”.
Madrid has something that is difficult to explain, the kindness of the
people mixed with the excellent weather and the huge amount of leisure
activities connected with culture, gives as a result an extraordinary frame
for getting the attention of the visitors from other countries, specially
artist.

As the Pasarela de Asfalto’s editor-in-chief, you have developed
multiple collaborations with extraordinary relevant celebrities
connected with the world of luxury, fashion and lifestyle, which
current Projects do you work on today?
The next project of “Pasarela de Asfalto”, is connected with the value of
writing and the literature. We are working with one of the most important
writers in Spain for shaping this cultural project, and you will be able to
see it in the next number of our magazine!
Madrid has always played a central role in the fashion history,
from the style at Royal courts in Spain and abroad, to the present
times. What could be the explanation to this?
In Western Medieval Europe, the Court was itinerant. Regarding to Spain,
it was not until 1561 with Felipe II, when he decided that Madrid would
be the permanent seat of the Spanish Monarchy.
During the 16th and 17th centuries, the Spanish court became the largest political epicente in Europe.
The military, political and cultural hegemony of the Spanish Empire made the fashions and traditions proposed by the Castilians look closely from across the continent.
The fashion of the Madrid court was imposed as a style of great sobriety, characterized by the use of dark colors.
That said, it seems that Spanish fashion and its influence on the
rest of Europe corresponds to a historical component.
Even today we continue to preserve in Spain the taste for black in clothing, as acommitment to elegance! Página 4 de 6
People in your close circle would characterise you as an altruistic
person, concerned about social problems and the environment,
which projects are dearest to you?
Well, I am really concerned about the problems connected with the
discrimination, that’s why my lawyer firm signed an agreement with the
NGO “Apoyo Positivo”. Apart from this, I always try to help wherever my
help is required; for example, the last summer meanwhile I was in Ceuta
(part of Spain placed in North Africa) the CECAM association, knowing
that I was there spending my holidays, asked me for help, in order to
“give voice” to the problems that they had related with the flora and fauna
of Ceuta ecosystem, so I did exactly what they wanted from me, releasing
a beautiful turtle into the sea.
It was a remarkable moment! You are also the owner of “Pavón Chisbert Abogados”, how does this fortify your commitment to society, and what agreement have you
signed with the NGO “Apoyo Positivo”?
In my lawyer firm, “Pavón Chisber Abogados”, we always try to help
people in civil and criminal areas, but we have different specialists for
each of the specialties of law. Our work at the NGO is to help to combat
discrimination based on sexual orientation, race, religion, gender or
political ideology, among others. Working next to “Apoyo Positivo” makes
me feel like a truth activist!
As the CEO of the prestigious lawyer firm “Pavón Chisbert
Abogados”, what does it mean to you to reach the important
agreements and the gratitude of the clients?
I would have never been able to know how grateful people are if I had not
worked as a lawyer. Working as a lawyer is quite hard and difficult but
at the same time is beautiful and inspiring.
When I see the satisfaction face of a client after winning the case, then is when I feel that my work is positive and constructive for society. Of course, working as a lawyer is not only being in the office and in the court, we must do many things to continue growing up as a firm, and among that things is to reach agreements with other entities and companies: in unity, strength!

In the law, moral plays an integral part and how can you ensure
the high standard of moral within your legal practice?
Moral is very important in my work. All lawyers in Spain are subject to a
code of ethics, it is a legal body that regulates good professional practice.
Thanks God, only in two occasions we had a “moral issue” connected with
Página 5 de 6 a case.
Finally, we took the correct decisions and the clients walked through the correct path.
During all this time, working with your both businesses, you
probably had to face many challenges, how important has been the
support of your family and your friends?
Without the help of my father and my mother, for sure I would have never
been able to do anything connected with the magazine and the lawyer
firm; My family has always been my main support! However, during all of
this time, I also have had the support of many friends: the great Spanish
designer Francis Montesinos has been next to me every time I needed,
also Marisol Alonso, owner of Venus Clinic, who is a person I have deeply
in my heart.

And how to forget my lifelong friends!
In the end what message do you like to communicate to our readers?
I would like to say that I feel so proud of being between the pages of “The
Buzz Magazine”, an editorial work which has a lot in common with me
and with his “Spanish brother”, “Pasarela de Asfalto”. For me is a true
honour to star in “The Buzz Magazine” cover!
