DANIEL FIERRO ARTS AND HIS SELF-EXILE

Daniel Fierro was born in the province of Buenos Aires in 1968.

This was the year of France’s May 68 and of protests in all parts of the world, and Argentina absorbed the essence of these events as the country prepared to suffer the most important social crisis in its history.

It is during this particular context in which one of our brightest exponents of contemporary plastic arts came to be.

Perhaps this is where his relentless rebellion stems from, his refusal to submit to the whims of traditional upbringing, his early dropout from high school, and his incomparable style in portraying the world and its people.

Daniel Fierro is not just another artist, he is the conjunction of an entire environment that has made it possible for him to grow outside the closed intellectual circle of Buenos Aires.

The flower that bloomed in the wasteland has become, thanks to those who can appreciate its delicate technique, a garden of invaluable artistic value. Daniel shows his soul through lines, colors and curves, who can portray his ghosts and fears without conditioning, he details his anger and thoughts, his ideas and his past are imprinted on a canvas or paper, or whatever material that challenges his creativity.

His route into surrealism portrays him as a negative of Salvador Dalí and his surrealist creation.

This artist has not yet found the door that allows him to show his art as he should, hence the decision to self-exile to a country rich in art, Colombia, but time always plays in favor of artists and creators of new trends. In this case, Daniel Fierro is one of them.
