  • Dr. Angela Mrad dazzled Monaco with a royal appearance and a groundbreaking cinematic moment.

At a prestigious evening gathering filmmakers from around the world at one of Monaco’s most prominent international film festivals, Angel Film Awards – Monaco International Film Festival, writer and filmmaker Dr. Angela Mrad — festival ambassador and jury member — captivated audiences with a striking presence.

Her latest film, “LUMINA AM 91 N,” had its world premiere out of competition at the Monaco International Film Festival, receiving a standing ovation and international acclaim for its innovative visual technology and profound human message blending philosophy, art, and technology.

Dr. Mrad chose a royal white gown designed by Lebanese-Arab designer Nadwa Al-Awar, combining elegance and strength, making her appearance a perfect reflection of style and vision.

During her speech on cinema, creativity, and storytelling, Mrad said:

    > “Women filmmakers don’t just capture the world; they reshape it.
I hope for a future where women in cinema are the norm, not the exception.
I hope for a future where a woman’s vision is never questioned. Cinema will only reflect the true depth and richness of our stories when women are free to create, lead, and follow their passion.
Women’s films should be celebrated for their artistry, depth, and truth.”

She also spoke about her homeland, Lebanon, specifically Beirut:

    > “I am not just from Beirut… I am made of her.”

Recently, Angela Mrad was awarded “Best Visionary Filmmaker” for her latest film “LUMINA AM 91 N,” the first cinematic work in history to feature a Human Robot as a real lead character and to receive Galactic Honors.

Regarding the main character, Mrad said:

    > “Lumina is not just a character… she is me.”

The film is a revolutionary artistic experience, combining advanced technology with cinematic storytelling. Every frame is designed to carry emotional depth and philosophical meaning, using light and silence as storytelling tools to translate emotion into a unique visual language.

“LUMINA AM 91 N” is shown exclusively at film festivals worldwide, reaffirming Mrad’s bold vision:

    > “I don’t follow the future of cinema… I invent it.”

With her breathtaking appearance and visionary words, Dr. Angela Mrad proved she is not only a world-class Arab filmmaker but also a symbol of creativity, innovation, and cinematic excellence.
