How to take care of your skin under the mask

Wearing a mask protects us against Covid-19 but does not spare our skin. Pimples, redness, dryness … Wearing it for long hours leaves dermatological consequences. How to preserve it from these inconveniences
Friction, humidity, lack of oxygen … Under the mask, our skin “suffocates”
Worn sometimes for several hours, the latter creates a kind of warm “microclimate” around the mouth and on the cheeks, which can eventually cause the appearance of pimples and lead to itching, redness or a burning sensation.
Particularly affected, acneic, very dry or eczematous skin sees their symptoms worsen.
So how can you take care of your skin and limit the harmful effects of wearing a mask
How to avoid skin problems associated with wearing a mask?
Cleanse your skin well, morning and evening, with a cleansing treatment adapted to your skin type.
For dry skin: use a light moisturizer rather than rich creams, which will tend to over-lubricate the skin.
During the day, spray mist based on thermal water over the entire face to maintain optimal hydration.
For combination, oily, acne-prone skin: favor care based on moisturizing, anti-inflammatory (vitamin E, niacinamide) and purifying (zinc, clay) active ingredients.
Are you a fan of natural ingredients? Essential oils and vegetable oils are among their ranks excellent allies in the fight against skin problems.
If pimples appear on the chin or nose, adopt a treating product to be applied locally to dry them out quickly and reduce the redness.
Once a week (twice if you have combination or oily skin), make a gentle exfoliation and a purifying mask.
For the skin that supports them, acids (AHA / BHA, azelaic acid) are excellent active ingredients for removing dead cells, but also unclogging and tightening dilated pores.
Limit the use of occlusive products that prevent the skin from “breathing” such as covering foundations for example.
They will only make the situation worse.
In case of skin lesions on the nose or ears (due to repeated rubbing of the
rubber bands and the metal tab), apply a healing and soothing cream
