“Untranslated” Photograph Exhibition

The photography group “Photogenesis” presented the exhibition “Untranslated” on June 5, 6 and 7, a collective black-and-white exhibition exploring what cannot be expressed in words.

With the conclusion of the exhibition, it was not merely a cycle of presenting works that had come to an end, but a three-year journey filled with exploration, experimentation, doubt, perseverance, and creativity. The exhibited works were the result of three years of education and creative exploration by the group’s members, using techniques involving light and shadow, composition, minimalism, and artistic portraiture.

The images on display were not created in just a few days. They carry within them hours of observation, personal stories, silences, encounters and moments that chose to speak without the aid of color. The exhibition “Untranslated” was an attempt to capture emotions, memories, traces of life, and human experiences that found expression through light and shadow.

The photography group “Photogenesis” would like to thank everyone who stood before the photographs and devoted time to “read” them in their own way. Because every image is completed only when it meets a gaze.
