MOSCHINO’S MARIONETTES TAKE OVER MILAN FASHION WEEK
Moschino has unveiled its new collection using marionettes, joining the fashion world in new innovative ways of walking the runway
.Jeremy Scott, Moschino’s Creative Director, has stressed the fact that our world is no longer the same so fashion brands are getting creative as they adapt to the new norm.
The show presented the illusion of having models, a runway and guests with miniature figures modelling the new collection.
The Spring/Summer 2021 show was held in a film format to demonstrate previous settings of intimate salon shows that took place in Paris in years gone by.
The aim of the show was to create an ambience of tranquillity in a year full of uncertainty and challenges.
The collection of dresses have inverted seams, zippers and edges with tulle under-skirts that extend beyond hemlines, with the hopes of creating an unconventional new start to fashion.
“As the world seems to be splitting along the seams, the bare inner workings of something new will be exposed,” explained Jeremy Scott.
